I'm a freelance illustrator and artist, based in a small town in the New Forest nestled by the waters of the Solent.  The area is rich with wildlife, ancient heaths, woodlands and with a sky as far as the eye can see.

There's inspiration all around.  Just moments from my home there are ponds, footpaths through the woods and the wide open forest.  Throughout the year an array of wildlife appears - foxes, deer, bats, owls, herons and a host of beautiful birds.  With the changing seasons there is a palette of colours and patterns provided by the trees, plants and flowers.

My work is inspired by and reflects this connection to nature - the sights, sounds, harmony and wonder. Narratives and folk art also feature in my work.  Our stories and thoughts express who we are, show how we might connect.  My love of folk art is rooted in my Polish heritage, with inspiration from other cultural influences and styles.

My artistic practice has developed over the years, with a focus on hand (traditional) illustration and art.  I create with drawn, painted and printed processes using a range of paper based materials.  I love the tactile, textural qualities of working 'hands on' in this way.  And the magic of working with paints, pencils and ink.

The images shared in my portfolio here are just a small selection of work from over the years.  Projects have included book illustration, publications, music educational resources and bespoke commissions.

I value being able to share and create art with others, and as such have facilitated a range of art education workshops and activities in various settings.  These include local junior schools (with sessions linked to curriculum), community groups such as Beavers and family workshop sessions with Southampton City Art Gallery.

Art is for all ages and for all people...the process of creating art is as important as the end product.  Art connects us in so many ways and can play a positive role in our wellbeing.

Community is important to me and when possible I like to support small scale community projects via my art such as art fundraisers or wall murals.

My illustrations are available to be licenced for publication, editorial and more.  Please see my 'contact' page to get in touch if you'd like to discuss projects, workshops, commissions or collaborations.
